Director

Tasha Cherry (Browning) PhD, LMHC, E-RYT 500, CCTP, CBIS, CEAP

Dr. Cherry is a licensed mental health counselor and Hatha yoga teacher specializing in trauma therapy. She is the founder of The Healing Body Method, a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, a Certified Brain Injury Specialist, and a Certified Employee Assistance Professional. She runs 200/500-hr. Healing Body Method Yoga teacher training for Trauma-Sensitive Yoga and Trauma Work Intensive Retreats for trauma healing. Dr. Cherry has a doctorate in philosophy degree from Capella University in Counseling Studies, a master's degree from Webster University in Counseling with a focus in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and a Certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace.  Dr. Cherry currently is on the submission review committee for The Comics and Popular Arts Conference (CPAC) and reviews work in the category of psychology in popular horror. She is a former adjunct professor at Webster University and Walden University. She also hosts a podcast called “The Trauma Perspective,” has published two journals titled “Work the Trauma” (2021), “My Mind Settles Here” (2021), and is completing a book called Trauma-Sensitive Yoga: A Somatic Experience in Trauma Healing (2024).

 

 
 

Therapist

Brynne Dearie, MA, LMFT, MCAP, CSAT, LADC, CCTP, CAS, RYT200

Brynne has a Masters’ Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Certified Autism Specialist, 200 hr yoga teacher, and Certified Sex Addiction Therapist. A fully Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the state of Nevada, Brynne has worked extensively with addicted populations in Las Vegas, including sex workers and gambling addicts. With a background in the performing arts and an alignment with the modality of Narrative Therapy, Brynne believes that each individual can and should feel empowered to re-author their own story from one of victimization to resilience. Brynne has a practice in Ocala, Fl called Changing Minds.

Therapist

Claudia Y Pache, MA, MBA, LMHC, CEDS, CSAT, RYT200

Claudia is a licensed Mental Health Counselor who is certified as a Clinical Trauma Professional. Her specialties include sex addiction and eating disorders. She has her Certified Eating Disorder Specialist certification from the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals and her Certified Sex Addiction Therapist certification from the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals.

She is also trained in EMDR and Accelerated Resolution therapy. Claudia is a Certified Health Coach and a Yoga instructor specializing in Trauma Sensitive Yoga (RYT 200).

Claudia has been influential in creating and leading an eating disorder program while working as an Eating Disorder Therapist and Trauma Therapist. She follows the Health at Every Size approach.

Claudia employs various modalities including CBT, DBT, Experiential and Somatic Therapies. She has a passion for empowering others and guiding them on their path to recovery. She works on channeling the mind-body connection to heal from trauma and addictions.

Claudia has her commercial pilot license, loves to travel, has lived overseas, and is fluent in Spanish and French.

Yoga Teachers

  • Wendy Larroque YT 200

    Wendy is a registered yoga teacher at the 200 hr. level with Yoga Alliance and has certifications in Chair, Restorative, Aerial, and Trauma Sensitive Yoga. Wendy wants to impact individuals in ways that fulfill their life and education them on wellness which inspired her to create Heartfelt Yoga. This yoga wellness project gives acknowledgment to her 20 plus years in the cardiology field. Wendy focuses most of her work on trauma-sensitive yoga and works with veterans in a residential psychiatric hospital where she teaches trauma-sensitive yoga from a somatic approach. Wendy felt compelled to share the healing qualities of yoga she found for herself with others by becoming a yoga teacher and teaching the power of self-healing. When she is not teaching yoga in the park or in the hospital you can find Wendy hiking with her dog. And traveling with her husband, in the gym with her personal trainer her daughter, baking, or spending time with her grandkids.

  • Jamekia Lumsden YT 200

    Jamekia is a registered yoga teacher at the 200 hr. level with Yoga Alliance and has certifications in Chair, Restorative, Aerial and Trauma Sensitive Yoga. Jamekia feels deeply connected to the healing aspects of a yoga practice. Through self-work, therapy, and finding her personal truth she feels yoga found her and allowed her to have a deep union with self. Jamekia has a desire to assist other individuals with finding their personal healing through yoga and being an example of what a personal healing journey can look like. Jamekia practices trauma-sensitive yoga through strong foundations in pranayama and meditation. When Jamekia is not teaching yoga she enjoys traveling and engaging in other forms of holistic healing practices.
